Attendees participate in a classroom instruction session which covers the care, grooming and feeding of the horse. They learn about the different types of tack, grooming tools, and safety while working around the horses and the wide variety of riding disciplines. Each will receive a handout reviewing the lesson to take home. The three hour program ends with a supervised hands-on session in grooming and tacking up where the girls will have an opportunity to apply what they have just learned. Once the horses are groomed and tacked up, the girls take the horses into the riding ring and each one has the opportunity to hop on and experience the joy of riding a horse!
